When Will I Not Be Considered Disfellowshipped Among the Congregation?
by kwheeler inhere is a little background about myself.
my mother raised me and my siblings in the jw faith.
however, my father was not a witness and opposed a lot of the beliefs so you can imagine how our life was.

To all Active JW's on the board
by UNCLEAR inas you are all aware i am new to the board, this is my third topic post.
since i have come online and expressed some concerns regarding docturnal issues, i have been pm'd by several active jw's on the board pretending to have concerns also but then sending pm's to "trust in the congregation and jevovah", "talk to the elders about your concerns" and "stick close to the congregation".
i would like to make this known loud and clear -

Dear Unclear,
Wow, you have been through ALOT! I too was pm'd by a elder who is posting here after I told my story. I have yet to respond. I don't understand how they feel we are bad for posting here, when they are doing the very same thing! We are here for you..

Dear AK Jeff,
Amazing isn't it!!! The story is always the same!!! Why all the attention now?? My husband and I have been ignored for almost a full year. Now, the only reason we are in the spotlight is because my in-laws made it their duty to to EVERYONE we have issues! Now the CO is even doing the detective work. It has been 8 weeks today, and still no answer, regarding our questions. I am awaiting the dreaded elder call ourselves!
Sincerely,
L.L.

Lady Liberty
Welcome Poodlehead!!
It sure is easy to talk the talk. But when it comes to actually seeing if those who are gone truely need anything its a whole different story!! I liked your reply! I didn't have a last straw. I have had certain issues all through the years. But the 607 issue got me and my husband! Gld to have you posting!
Sincerely,

Pyramids and 1914
by smudge ini have had several studies with several j.w.s as i am very interested in theology and most of my in-laws are j.w.
on many occasions i asked to see the very complicated way that the year 1914 was obtained.
everyone of my studies told me not to worry about it, that it involves much complicated math and it has been checked over and over and is right.

Dear Smudge,
WELCOME!! I can relate to your post!! Please read my story, as the whole pyramid/607 issue is what made me wake up! I have until a year ago been a witness all my life... 38 years. The story I posted will give you a idea as to how clueless the witness really are about their own history. Please, if you have the time, let me know what you think after reading it. Under Friends, entitled, It's High Time I Introduced Myself. By Lady Liberty. If you cannot find it, look up my topics under my name and you will see it. Thanks for your post. We look forward to hearing more from you.
Sincerely,

Hate CO Visit
by thepackage inour cong.
recently had its co visit, and i realized how fake people can be when the co is around.
elders take time off of work to go out on service during the week, ms's that want to be elders kiss butt to the co. taking the co and his wife out to lunch become a competition.
-
Lady Liberty
Dear Thepackage,
I too, have witnessed that! In fact, I remember one incident not too long ago, where the POs wife who would hardly ever say two words to anyone, turned on the charm. When the COs wife was there, she cornered her and wouldn't shut up! Trying to kiss butt BIG time!! I just stood there and stood there to say "hi". FInally the COs wife touched her arm as if to say "shut up a minute", and said hello to me. They were new so I just wanted to introduce myself. What a joke. I felt so foolish, for just standing there like a puppy! Waiting for a crumb! Anyway, It was funny to me also, to see all the elders get there early, and wait in the entry, welcoming everyone into the hall. As if they did that every meeting. Then once the CO was gone, same old same old. Lucky if you even got a nod, let alone a greeting! And this I wittnessed in several halls! It is common!! All such a show!

What a contrast between what is set out for the retrieval of the "lost sheep", and between what these elders do to ones who have faded today! You would think they would openly embrace you, tell you how much you are missed and how very much they would like to have you back. Of course they wouldn't have allowed so many years to have gone byin the first place, but would of been regularly letting you know how much your missed!! Compare that to the haughty, self righteous, were going to "nail you" attitude!! Thats what they do best! Lie and wait!! You hear nothing, you wait and wait to feel like your shepards will one day come and be that craig thats decribed in the Bible! But what they are really doing is waiting for you to screw up, so they can pounce and get rid of you! They are so...anxious to get rid of those who have left. Instead of finding out why they aren't there anymore! They are anxious to get rid of these ones. They are like little Gustopos running around policing everyone. It never ceases to amaze me as to how much they truely remind me of the Scribes and Pharisees that Jesus despised! It makes you wonder what Jehovah thinks of it all! I think I have a pretty good idea!

Still watch it, still love it! And I have my 12 year old hooked as well. Good wholesome family show. Corney by todays standards. But regardless, gives good lessons, that often touch our heart!

Hi
by UNCLEAR inthis obviously is my first post, i actually feel like i may be sick but i felt compelled to post.
only if to just say hello.. my life has been anything but boring, pioneered for years, brought several family members into "the truth", and find myself unable to have studies anylonger because i feel unsure about the stand i have taken all these years.. i was previously married, my husband left the organization for various reason, we divorced and i recently remarried another brother, he is a wonderful man and husband, i care for him deeply we and had been friends for 15 years.
i also have a son from my first marriage who is 4, he is the love of my life, recently my son had an opertion that could require a blook transfusion and to be honest i could never deny him that.

Dear Unclear and Looking Glass,Welcome to the board!! It is so nice to have you both here!! You are among many who have walked in your shoes, and have had the same nagging gut feeling that something was wrong, that you have. Just remember, we owe it to Jehovah, to our families, and ourselves, to examine what we believe. To make sure it is accurate. Afterall, a sincere examination should only be faith strengthening. Jehovah gave us the ability to reason. He also gave us the ability to ask questions. Why should we fear asking questions of our own faith. We have asked many to do just that of their own faith in the ministry. When it comes full circle, if it is indeed truth, you will know it. And you will be faith strengthened by the process. But then again, if it is not, we then need to make a decision. One that we have asked many to make, again in our own ministry, and that is: Are we lovers of truth, or are we lovers of tradition? There will be ones who will try to discourage you from asking ANY questions at all. To have a sort of blind faith. But Jehovah does not want that kind of service. He wants us to have conviction in what we believe. Remember, the Bible says to " Make sure of all things, hold fast to what is fine."- 1Thess.5:21. One of the most important things you can possibly do is to pray for Jehovahs holy spirit, and ask him to help you see the Truth, no matter what it may be. Then, as others have brought out, DO RESEARCH!! Check things, and double check them. That will give you the confidence that you will need to do the right thing. Also, one word of caution, I would be VERY careful as to who you tell you are examining things to. I appreciate DoubleEdge encouraging you to read my story, on the link he posted. I hope it may help you. And I look forward to hearing more from both of you!
Sincerely your friend,
Lady Liberty
